FSRA Members Present:
Ivy Ou and others from FSRA’s Auto/Insurance Products team, and members from FSRA’s Auto/P&C Policy team were present at the meeting.
General Comment
This was the first meeting held by FSRA to discuss the report that members of the Data & Analytics Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will be developing, titled Fair Treatment of Consumers in Uses of Big Data Analytics in Auto Insurance (“report”). The objective of the meeting was to obtain the TAC’s feedback on the scope and timelines proposed by FSRA.
In attendance were select members of the TAC, referred to as the “working group”, which will provide the foundational material for the report. The working group provided high level feedback on FSRA’s proposed discussion areas and their associated questions.
Following the meeting, the working group will, subject to further feedback, confirm the report scope and begin addressing the questions in the agreed scope. FSRA will draft a report reflecting the working group’s insights and will follow-up with the TAC to ensure their views are reflected appropriately.
