FSRA joins International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) to better protect depositors

FSRA is pleased to announce it has joined the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) to share best practices in depositor protection and promote financial stability that benefits consumers.

IADI’s Core Principles for Effective Deposit Insurance Systems is an internationally recognized standard for sound, stable and well functioning financial systems.

FSRA’s deposit insurance program protects insurable deposits held with Ontario credit unions and caisses populaires. Deposit insurance is part of a comprehensive depositor protection program that ensures the safety and soundness of credit unions and caisses populaires, at no cost to depositors.

Established in 2002, Switzerland-based IADI is a global forum where deposit insurers as well as other financial safety net participants and international financial institutions work together to promote depositor protection and financial stability.
