Rob Wellstood is the recently retired President & CEO of Kawartha Credit Union Limited. He led the institution, headquartered in Peterborough, with $2 billion in assets, serving 50,000 members through twenty-three branches in eastern Ontario. 

His tenure at Kawartha included serving as Controller for nine years before assuming the CEO role in 2002. He played a key role in developing Kawartha's growth strategy, enhancing its risk management, and overseeing six credit union combinations, as well as acquiring two branches from a national bank. Previously, he spent 10 years in public practice and spent two years as a commercial lender with the Business Development Bank of Canada.

Rob Wellstood has extensive board experience including roles on various not-for-profit and financial sector boards, notably serving on the Board of ABCP 2008 Limited Partnership and CUCO Co-operative Association for ten years. In 2021, he completed six years on the Board of Central 1 Credit Union, where he served as Audit Committee Chair for three years.

He holds a CPA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo.
